Come to the Table: There's a Place for You
August 5- September 2
Fall is coming and plans for an exciting new year of ministry are taking shape. This month, we are challenging our church community to come to the table of God’s grace to worship, to connect, to serve, and to grow. Each Sunday in worship, and special Sunday morning activities, we will celebrate our church and look toward new opportunities in our life together.
So come to the table, and invite those you love.
There’s a place for everyone.
August 5 – A Place for Families
Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me.” Join us for communion worship and to consider the important place young people have in our church.
August 12 – A Place to Serve
It’s a mission-themed morning! Come worship with us and check out the Mobile Loaves and Fishes truck between worship services. Stop by for refreshments and learn about our monthly truck run! In addition, Pastor Claire and Mission Committee member Larry Bloomquist will be in Room 205 from 9:30 to 10:20 a.m. to share more about mission.
August 19 – A Place to Grow
Our worship will center on the way God calls all of us, young and old, to spiritual growth. Family Ministry will also host an open house in the dining hall from 9:00-10:00 a.m. So come grab a bite to eat and learn more about opportunities for kids and students.
August 26 – A Place to Belong
We’ll start the morning with an All-Church Pancake Breakfast from 8:30-10:00 a.m., so bring your appetite! Stay for worship on the theme of belonging. There will be no adult Sunday school classes.
September 2 – A Place for All
Come to the table this Labor Day Weekend! We’ll celebrate the Lord’s Supper once more and consider the breadth of God’s welcome to us.
