Welcome to Middle School Ministry at WHPC. We offer life-giving, biblically-based fellowship and discipleship for all 6th, 7th and 8th graders, with the hope that the transforming love of Christ will impact students, their families and the world around them. We also seek to serve and support parents as they nurture their children through these formative and challenging years of middle school.
We are very pleased to announce the hiring of Kyle Bender, Director of Middle School Ministry.
Kyle begins his new position in early June. After growing up in Wichita Falls, TX, he majored in Sociology at Texas A&M University. It was at A&M that he met his wife, Morgan. They have been married for almost 5 years and are enjoying the new adventure of parenthood with their four month old daughter, Amelia Melynn. During college, he was involved in middle school ministry to inner-city youth. It was through this experience that he sensed God’s call to invest in the lives of students. For the last six years, he has served at Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church in Houston where he began as the Director of Student Worship before becoming the High School Director. He is currently working on a Master of Theology from Fuller Seminary. Morgan and Kyle are thrilled to call WHPC home as they begin their family. He has never been more excited about youth ministry and its role in the church. He and Morgan can’t wait to meet the families and students at WHPC.

Ongoing Opportunities
JAM
JAM is a dynamic program designed especially for 6th, 7th and 8th grade students. Through music, fun, Biblical teaching and small groups, students will discover the love of Jesus and how we can show love towards God and others. More...
JAM meets every Wed. from 6:15-7:30pm in the Youth room.
Sunday School
9:30 a.m. - Join us for a combined Middle and High School class taught by Rick Milvenan in the Youth Room
11:00 a.m - Taught by the Middle School Ministry staff, the class will continue the journey through the Gospels. Class meets in the Youth Room, and then in Ross Hall.
Deeper
Monday, June 28, July 5, 19, August 2 from 3-5pm. We will be meeting in host homes for in-depth small group Bible Study and fellowship time, grouped by grade/gender. Host home info below!
