God and Life Classes

The students in the God and Life program will participate in a weekly lesson and discussion, weekly scripture memorization, daily Bible reading, and monthly service projects.

Signulls
Come gather in the Youth room at WHPC every Monday night from 7:30-9:00pm for lots of fellowship, crazy games, engaging and passionate worship through song, and a strong Biblical message. This spring we are taking on a series called "Grounded". The purpose of this series is to talk about issues of controversy that students are dealing with on a daily basis at school and in their lives. Topics such as Creation/Evolution, Homosexuality, Angels/Demons, and Predestination/Free Will will be just a few of the many things we will tackle this semester at Signulls.
At Signulls, you will also be given opportunities to sign up for all of our events: mission trips, retreats, camps, etc. and become involved in our ministry through skits, serving roles, leadership positions, and accountability groups. We would love to see you there!
Sunday School
Join us at 10:15 a.m. in the Youth room every Sunday for Sunday School. We will gather for a time of games, donuts, and teaching. This year we are studying the Book of Acts - one chapter a week - with a teacher rotation of Rick Milvenan, Doug Congdon, and Melissa Carter. We are excited to dive into the Word together!
D-groups - Sundays 5:00 - 6:30 pm, Youth Room
One of the greatest ways God is shaping our ministry is in the form of discipleship. Because we sincerely believe that becoming disciples of Christ is the most important thing for each of our students, we have incorporated discipleship into our weekly programming. The goal of each of these discipeship groups (D-groups) is to form a group of committed believers that can function both as a Bible study group and an accountability group throughout all four years of high school. To this end, the leaders stay with their groups for all four years of high school so as to deepen relationships.
D-groups are split into groups based on gender and grade. We gather as one large group at 5:00 p.m. and listen to a large group teaching or just spend a little time in fellowship. Following the large group time, each group will split into their individual D-group, led by young adults. The small group time runs from 5:30-6:30 p.m.
We are so excited for this new step in our student ministry, and we are confident that it will quickly become the cornerstone of our ministry here at WHPC!!
