Westlake Hills Presbyterian Church is dedicated to providing pastoral care to its congregation. We share joys and concerns, pray for one another and provide practical support in times of stress, sickness and death. Our pastors, elders, deacons and lay ministry team are committed to living out the love and mercy of the living God.

Below is a brief description of our various support programs.
Monday Nights:
Job Search Support Group
The Job Support ministry supports the unemployed and the underemployed in the journey to find suitable work in the shortest possible time. The meeting is open to all unemployed and underemployed professionals regardless of faith or affiliation. Bring an extra copy of your resume. Meeting begin at 6:30 PM. For more information contact Troy Johnson at troykjohnson@earthlink.net or 441-4354. Room 206. This is an ongoing program throughout the year.
Recovery Café
Recovery Café meets in room 202 at 7:00 PM. The Café is a safe and healing resource for those seeking recovery from addition in the name of Christ. This group also combines a support group for those struggling with someone who has an addiction. Please join us in this journey on the road to recovery. Wednesday Nights:
Grief Support
A support group for those who are grieving and in need of personal support. The group meets the first Wednesday of each month, beginning on September 8.. DivorceCare
This weekly seminar and support group is for people who are separated or divorced and meets Wednesday nights, beginning September 8, from 6:30 - 8:00 PM. Setting Boundaries with Your Adult Children...Six Steps to Hope and Healing for Struggling Parents, by Allison Bottke. A support group for parents of adult children who are having difficulty making mature, independeant choices for their lives. Meets Wednesday nights beginning September 8 from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. Contact Jayne Gamel for more information.

Stephen Ministry
Stephen Ministry is an inter-denominational Christian ministry offered in churches throughout the world and designed to provide emotional and spiritual support to both men and women facing a variety of life challenges. If you or someone you know is experiencing difficulty in your life, you are invited to talk with
Pastor Carol Friesen or one of the Stephen Leaders. They are prepared to explain Stephen Ministry and answer questions you may have. A friend, a relative, or another pastor can also make the referral on your behalf. All contacts are made only with the person’s permission. More...

Alzheimer's Ministry
"The Gathering” is a joyful, loving program for people who suffer from Alzheimer’s Disease and similar dementias. Participants enjoy music, art, food and fun every Tuesday for four hours.
"New Connections" is a early intervention program for people who have mild cognitive impairment or very early Alzheimer’s disease. More...
Prayer Ministries
