Denominational Relationships |
In denominational relationships, we trust the wisdom of the Presbyterian connectional system, knowing our collective wisdom works for the good of all.

PCUSA is distinctly a confessional and a connectional church, distinguished by the representation of elders — laymen and laywomen — in its government. The church has a membership of 2.3 million in all 50 states and Puerto Rico. Currently there are nearly 11 thousand congregations, over 21,000 ordained ministers, 1,100 candidates for ministry and more than 94,000 elders.

The Presbyterian Coalition is a movement of people committed to life and transformation in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) by exalting Jesus Christ, the Head of the Church, energizing its congregations, and upholding historic biblical leadership standards.
PFF challenges, mobilizes and empowers Presbyterian congregations into global partnerships that establish indigenous churches among unreached people groups.

Presbyterian Global Fellowship
PGF is an exciting movement of PC(USA) churches that are trying to re-focus on God's mission in the world. One quote that sort of sums up this movement is "Inwardly Strong, Outwardly Focused". This means that as Christians we must live a balanced life. One part of this balanced life is becoming inwardly strong by being fed by God through Bible study, worship, prayer, and fellowship. The other side of this is that we become inwardly strong in order to focus on God's mission in the world, which is to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Mission Presbytery serves God as a unique expression of the body of Christ in South Texas. As faithful stewards of God's gifts, we proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ by fulfilling the mandates of the Book of Order, encouraging and supporting congregations in mission and ministry and doing together what we cannot do alone.
