Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. (Phil 4:6) Prayer is an integral part of the life of the WHPC. The church supports several prayer ministries.
Prayer Shawl Ministry
Encircling Others With Love and Prayer Through Knitting Sometimes those we pray for receive a special shawl to remind them of God's love and care.
All who desire to knit or crochet are invited to knit and pray for those in need of God's grace and healing.

Prayer Team
One-on-one prayer is designed to give WHPC members and visitors an opportunity to meet with a ministry team member in order to receive support and prayer. Members of the Prayer Team are available after each service on Sunday mornings.
Prayer Chain
Prayer Chain Ministry is a group of individuals who pray for those who have prayer requests through prayer cards (found in the pews), emails to the church or telephone calls to the church. Prayer requests are kept confidential, if requested. Requests are e-mailed out on Monday morning and throughout the week as new requests are received.
Intercessory Prayer Group
You will notice prayer cards in the pew racks in the sanctuary. After you put a prayer request on one of these cards, deposit it in the offering plate or in the prayer box outside the sanctuary. The requests are carefully read and passed among the pastors and prayer group so that these people can be personally praying over the needs you have expressed. Please take advantage of this opportunity to let others help share your burdens.
