What is mission?
As Christians, we are called to witness to God’s love and grace in our local community and around the world. Whenever we pray for our neighbors, share the gospel in our words and actions, serve those in need, or simply live by the kingdom values of justice, love, and peace, we are engaged in mission.
WHPC is committed to mission that is open, attentive, and compassionate toward all. We seek to forge strong relationships both locally and globally, and to collaborate in ministry whenever we can. Most of all, we seek to love others well, with gratitude for the grace we have received in Christ.
Here’s how you can join in. Get Involved.
Meal-a-Month for Manos de Cristo – This Sunday!
Did you know that 1 in 4 households in Austin is food insecure? This means that thousands of families are uncertain day to day about how they will keep nutritious food on the table. But you can help. Every second Sunday of the month, including Feb. 10, you can pick up a blue bag after worship and fill it with items for Manos de Cristo’s food pantry in East Austin. Return your bag the following Sunday to the Parlor or Narthex, and together, we can make a difference for our neighbors in need.
Mobile Loaves & Fishes: Registration is open!
Registration is open for WHPC’s monthly make-ready and truck-run shifts, scheduled to start in January and continue on the first and second Sunday of every month. Make-ready shifts start at 4:00 p.m. and trucks leave at 5:00 p.m. from St. John Neumann.
