Wrap-Up: Special Offering for COVID-19 Relief

By Claire Berry, Associate Pastor of WHPC

Thanks to the congregation’s generous donations, WHPC was able to give away over $54,000 to partners in Central Texas and Nicaragua as they cope with the coronavirus pandemic and its social and economic effects.

Distributions from the offering have now been made, and our partners have responded with gratitude and joy. I invite you to check out this slideshow, which includes updates and words of thanks from our partners.

If you want to learn about mission at WHPC—how we reach out to our community and world in the love of Christ—there’s more at our webpage. I would also love to be in touch with you about your passions and how you feel called to serve, even amidst these unusual times. Contact me here.

Half of the offering was distributed in Central Texas by our partners Manos de Cristo and Presbyterian Children’s Homes and Services (PCHAS). A portion of the donation to PCHAS will go toward PPE for staff, while other funds will provide emergency assistance to families in economic need due to the current crisis.
