This story follows three Chinese immigrant women navigating survival, patriarchal oppression, and extreme xenophobia in 1870s Los Angeles. Inspired by real historical figures, the narrative explores how their contrasting lives intertwine and culminate in a shared struggle during a brutal, real-life historical event.
