Confirmation is a special process that seeks to provide youth with a foundational understanding of faith, tradition, and Presbyterian practices.
Confirmation classes are designed for 8th and 9th graders, but are open to all other high school students who have not yet been confirmed!
Our first class will be on the morning of Sunday, February 1.

1st Thursday Women's Luncheon

We look forward to hearing from church member and Assistant Director of Westlake Hills Presbyterian Preschool, Angie Rhem, at our February luncheon. As a graduate of an all-girls high school, a card-carrying sorority member who lived in the house with 48 women, and a seasoned educator in early childhood and elementary education, Angie considers herself something of an expert on female friendships. She looks forward to reflecting on—and sharing—the lessons and blessings her girlfriends have gifted her over the years, and she hopes to leave you with a gentle nudge to call an old friend and laugh together. Childcare is available with a reservation.

This summer, our high school students will partner with Praying Pelicans Mission and travel to Jamaica for a meaningful mission experience rooted in service, relationship, and faith.

Rising middle schoolers and high school freshman are invited to join us in the heart of San Antonio this summer, we will serve others by making homes safe, warm, and dry. Rising freshman will serve as leaders and all students will get the opportunity to gain new skills like working with power tools and tarring roofs (under adult supervision). This project is safe and done along side the empowering staff at Blueprint. Contact Emily Kidd for more information.

Join Pastor Stacy in person or on Zoom, for an eight-week study of the core principles of our Presbyterian theology that counter the disturbing and confusing voices speaking for Christians today. We will read and discuss the book, "Being Presbyterian in a Dysvangelical America", as well as dive into Jesus' teachings to gain insight and find our voice in the discussions going on around us. Books can be purchased in the WHPC Library for $10.

Come and study the hands on gospel. Matthew is filled with stories of Jesus with the people, touching those that needed healing, spending time with those that needed compassion, and much more.

A study for parents -“Habits of the Household: ”Each week we will focus on one key family habit: waking, mealtimes, discipline, screens, bedtime, rhythms of work/rest. This will be a practical, grace-centered discussion on how to integrate our faith into the daily chaos of our family.

Dr. Stacy Ikard, Senior Associate Pastor Dr. Karl Slaikeu, Ph.D., is an internationally recognized psychologist, mediator and negotiation expert Join Stacy and Karl for an in-depth look at the Apostle Paul and his struggle with church conflict in the region of Galatia in the early church. In this class, we will strive to understand the text and context of the book of Galatians, but we will also look at Paul's effectiveness as a peacemaker, and what can be learned and applied to our struggles and conflicts. At a time when division and hostility seem so very strong - in both church and society - this study is both timely and provocative!
