We are delighted to welcome WHPC member, Dian Hansen as our Speaker! Dian has been a member of WHPC since 2000, sharing her gifts through choir, handbells, the Evening Book Club, the Prayer Shawl ministry, numerous Bible studies, and by serving faithfully as an Elder. She will share her faith journey—how she wrestled with and questioned her faith for many years, and how God’s grace continued to shape her life, ultimately leading her back to a deeper and more profound faith. Dian will also reflect on her recent health crisis, a season in which she experienced God’s amazing and unending love in a deeply personal way. This is a fun and relaxed way to meet other women, so come join us and bring a friend! Childcare is available with a reservation.

Contemplative Christian practice quiets the mind to allow for the experience of God’s presence in that moment and (eventually) in every aspect of life. Our Contemplative Christianity class offers the opportunity for group study, discussion, and experience of this ancient-yet-modern Christian approach to knowing God. We share a group reading and discussion, often accompanied by a practice opportunity.
Janis Claflin facilitates the class and is happy to answer questions, 512-657-5498, jcforpeace@gmail.com.
