Keeper of Lost Children by Sadeqa Johnson HF

This story that follows Ethel Gathers, the wife of an American officer, who discovers an orphanage in Occupied Germany filled with abandoned mixed-race children born to German women and Black American soldiers. Ethel dedicates herself to finding these children homes. The story also follows Ozzie Phillips, a Black American soldier navigating racism while serving in Germany, and Sophia Clark, a young woman in 1965 Maryland who uncovers a secret that reshapes her understanding of identity and family.
