Why We Give
An act of faith
Giving money to WHPC is a tangible act of faith in response to all that God gives to us. Our money is really God’s money.
It is our job to be faithful stewards for God’s purposes in the world.
Expectation of Membership
At WHPC, giving generously is one of the expectations of membership. The church does not specify how much people should give, but we hope that each person will commit a percentage of their income with a tithe being the goal.
Funds ministry and mission
Annual giving makes possible: worship, programs for all ages, pastoral care and support, local and global mission, outreach, fellowship, ministry and mission, staff salaries and benefits, and supports the maintenance of our amazing building and property. Our ministry and mission are only possible in partnership with your giving.

You can contribute any amount using the button on your profile. If you want, you can set up recurring gifts or payments.
1. Sign in to your site.
2. Click Giving.
3. Click Give. If you don't see this button, contact your church, and ask them about online giving.
4. Enter the amount you want to give, then select the fund.a. If the fund has the memo field enabled, complete this field to add a note.
b. To give to more than one fund at once, click Another Fund.5. Select a gift frequency.
• Give Once-Select a date to give a one-time gift.
• Give Multiple Times-Select a frequency by which your gift will recur. If you set up a recurring online gift, you will receive an email when the end date has been reached.6. Click Continue.
7. Enter your payment method, or select one that you saved.a. Optional: If you want to add a new payment method, select Enter a different payment method than one you already have.
8. Click Give. A confirmation message displays.

Thank you for supporting the Ministry and Mission of Westlake Hills Presbyterian Church and being a consistent scheduled donor.
If you have online scheduled payment setup, then please take a moment to update or reset the Pledge year.All scheduled payments with no end date would go to the previous pledge year of 2024. You can update the pledge year to 2025 by logging into your realm portal through the web site.
When you have a recurring gift you can modify it any time you wish changing the amount, preferred
dates, and payment method among other things.Once you are logged in:
1. Under Community, Click Giving:
2. Select “Scheduled” and click the three dots to modify your recurring gift.
Click to edit
3. From here you can select “Edit”, “Place On Hold”, or “Cancel”.a. Edit – Change the amount, the fund, payment schedule, and/or method of payment.
b. Place on Hold – Puts your giving on pause, but doesn’t delete the recurring gift.
c. Cancel – Deletes your current gift. Your payment method remains saved, but recurring
gifts are deleted going forward.

Stewardship FAQ
What is Stewardship & Generosity?
God is the owner of all that we have. We are tasked with being good stewards of all we have. Generosity at WHPC means responding to God’s work and grace in one’s life by giving one’s financial resources to the church.
Why do we need annual commitments?
Annual commitments allow WHPC to work from a planned balanced budget where all expenses are pre-approved within an annual operating budget.
When should I make my commitment?
WHPC has an annual stewardship campaign every fall, inviting people to make their commitment for the following year. However, we are happy to take commitments all throughout the year.
When do I pay my commitment?
You can make monthly, weekly recurring payments or annually.
What happens if I need to change my commitment?
This is not a problem at all. Email our Director of Support, Sherrie Fox at sherrief@whpc.org to make this change.
What ways can I give?
You can give using credit card, check, cash, stock gift or planned gift.
