A blessing is anything that is a gift, whether deserved or undeserved, hard-earned or free.
We all have an abundance of blessings. This November, we invite you to let your blessings overflow and renew your commitment to abiding in Christ as a faithful part of the Westlake Hills Presbyterian Church. Scripture is clear that everything we have- not just our money, but our talents and time- is a gift for us to share abundantly.

And God is able to provide you with every blessing in abundance, so that by always having enough of everything, you may share abundantly in every good work.”

- 2 Corinthians 9:8

Our 2027 Goal

Our goal for 2027 is 100% PARTICIPATION in committing treasure or time across our 850 households to build a $3.7 million annual budget.

This budget will allow us to meet the following unmet needs:

  • Increase our mission giving to 12% ($444,000)

  • Allowing us to invest more deeply in Austin’s Foundation for the Homeless, which is completing a

  • transitional housing facility to help up to 32 families a year transition from homelessness to permanent housing.

  • Support audio improvements in our sanctuary for the hearing impaired.

  • Expand our staffing for Faith Formation of Young People, so we can invest more time off campus and in relationship-building with students.

This budget will also allow us to continue deepening and widening the ministries that help us fulfill our mission of inviting people into God’s larger story as we follow Christ together. We need your financial pledge for 2027, as well as a commitment of your time to our growing and vibrant faith community.

Why We Give

An act of faith

Giving money to WHPC is a tangible act of faith in response to all that God gives to us. Our money is really God’s money.
It is our job to be faithful stewards for God’s purposes in the world.

Expectation of Membership

At WHPC, giving generously is one of the expectations of membership. The church does not specify how much people should give, but we hope that each person will commit a percentage of their income with a tithe being the goal.

Funds ministry and mission

Annual giving makes possible: worship, programs for all ages, pastoral care and support, local and global mission, outreach, fellowship, ministry and mission, staff salaries and benefits, and supports the maintenance of our amazing building and property. Our ministry and mission are only possible in partnership with your giving.

Loving God & Loving Others

"Everyone should give whatever they have decided in their heart. They shouldn’t give with hesitation or because of pressure.
God loves a cheerful giver."- 2 Corinthians 9:7

Why do we need annual commitments?
Annual commitments allow WHPC to work from a planned balanced budget where all expenses are pre-approved within an annual operating budget.

When should I make my commitment?

When do I pay my commitment?

This is not a problem at all. Email our Director of Support, Sherrie Fox at sherrief@whpc.org to make this change.
