Ready…Set…Serve! WHPC’s Fall Mission Challenge

By Hilary Files, WHPC Mission Committee

Greetings to our WHPC Faith Family near and far. As we continue to navigate the coronavirus pandemic, the autumn breezes are blowing through. We are invigorated and ready for a …

Fall. Mission. Challenge.

This fall, we are challenging everyone at WHPC to serve by completing at least one activity on our brand-new, current, curated list. This may be a great opportunity to try something new!

All you have to do is complete one challenge activity from the many suggestions, or contribute one of your own and tell us about it.

Activities are categorized so you can stick to your interests or gifts, or change it up with something outside your comfort zone. Whether you choose to get crafty, volunteer locally, reach out to friends and neighbors, or donate, we know that every single person has something to offer in the name of Jesus.

Many activities can be completed from home, and for all in-person volunteering, safety precautions will be taken. We encourage you to choose what’s right for you and your family.

Our Children and Student Ministries are planning to involve young people in the challenge as part of their weekly programming, too—so be on the lookout for that!

Can we do it? We think so. No burnt orange, maroon, or purple team colors needed.

After you have completed your activity—or activities!—we invite you to sign your name in Fall Mission Challenge Hall of Fame. You can also email a picture or provide a written reflection to Pastor Claire, and we will celebrate together with a special presentation at the end of the challenge.

Just think what we can do when we work together as a family of faith.

Let’s not get tired of doing good, because in time we’ll have a harvest if we don’t give up.
