Pop Up Sunday is the day when ALL students will be promoted as they Pop Up to the next grade level. We’ll celebrate, hand out t-shirts, and enjoy celebrating a new milestone. Children’s Ministry will make graduation caps and student ministry will have a pop trivia jeopardy and donuts and kolaches that morning. Friends are also invited to come along & join in the fun!

Join us in celebrating and honoring the Class of 2024 seniors at WHPC! All are invited to the Parlor after worship to participate in signing the senior gift, a framed photo of our cherished stained-glass cross. Let's surround this symbol of faith with the verses that inspire us most. Light refreshments will be served as we enjoy a special slideshow highlighting the remarkable journey of our seniors.

Let’s Start the Party this summer with VBS! Jesus gives us the most amazing reason to party. That’s why we believe God’s love and the Gospel of Jesus is the best news ever. Drop off your child for four days of God centered FUN, where kids will be placed in groups to play games, sing songs, do crafts, and learn to celebrate the good news of Jesus.

Volunteer with us for VBS 2024: Start the Party! We are eager and excited to guide our kids through an energetic and God filled week, and we need YOUR help to make it happen! Start the Party VBS will help kids strengthen their faith by celebrating God and all He has done for us. Please join us as we shepherd our students through worship, fun, and fellowship.

Easter is a reason to celebrate, and we will do just that! Join us for our annual Easter Egg hunt, where we plan to hide over 1,000 eggs on our different playgrounds. This is the perfect time to connect with families, enjoy lunch and a treat, and get cute pics of the kiddos. Kids will be divided by age on different playgrounds to collect eggs. Please bring your Easter basket with you. See you there!

Gather with us and The Vine to help pack 40,000 meals for students in Rwanda. These meals will feed 185 students for an entire year through Africa New Life. We need volunteers and donations to make this happen!

Get ready for some fun and join us for bingo and bouquets! We will have lunch together, a chance to WIN exciting prizes during several rounds of bingo, and end the afternoon by making a Valentines flower bouquet for a loved one.
All families are asked to bring a pair of warm socks, scarf, or beanie to donate to Mobile Loaves and Fishes.

Playing handbells is a fun and easy way to create beautiful music to honor God. If you know your left hand from your right and can count to 4, you can play bells and chimes! We have opportunities to develop our rhythm and ringing skills, cultivate teamwork and enjoy playing bells and chimes. Contact Emily Craven for more information.

A service of lessons and carols with Christmas Choir, Worship Team, and Brass to celebrate the birth of our Savior.
11 am | Sanctuary
This full Sunday Morning service will include scripture, carols, and a message celebrating our Savior’s birth. There will also be an instant children’s pageant! Any child attending can wear a church provided costume and participate in the story. Everyone is welcome and childcare will be provided for Pre-K and younger.

Between music services, join our church family for a festive breakfast that includes a variety of egg casseroles, fruit and pastries. A Christmas movie will be part of the fun. Don’t miss it!

Bring your friends and neighbors for this special service filled with glorious Christmas music in the Sanctuary.

Don’t miss this wonderful opportunity to drop your kids off at the church and have a day out (or in) to yourselves! Drop your kids off at the church at 2pm for gingerbread houses, games, and gym time. Then you are free to have a few hours to relax, go Christmas shopping, and enjoy the afternoon.

We are excited to kick off Fall Sunday School and get to know your kids! It's time for all of our kids and youth to gather and reconnect with their Sunday School class! If your child is new, this is a great time to form new friendships and form faith at WHPC!
Sunday School teachers and leaders will be ready to greet your kids and youth for breakfast, fun, and Bible study. If you have a Pre-schooler, please bring them to Room 101 for their party with Ms. Judy and her crew!
What should parents and guardians do after dropping off your kids? Go upstairs, grab a cup of coffee and join one of the Adult Sunday classes. There is something for everyone!

This Food Drive is for Hungry Souls, a program that provides evening and weekend meals for kids in Austin ISD who qualify for free breakfast and lunch programs. We have an opportunity to provide breakfast items for this population through our collection this month. We will start collecting oatmeal and pancake mix. You can bring items to the Neighborhood Block Party or drop them off at the church in the blue bins (usually used for Manos Blue Bags).

Join us for a special prayer and blessing for all students as they begin the 2023-2024 school year. All students will be invited up front during worship, and we will share a small gift to celebrate the beginning of a wonderful year.
JUNE 5 - 8
Join us for the "Shine Jesus' Light" VBS event, from June 5 - 8. We invite children from pre-kindergarten to 5th grade to learn about "who God is" and "how we can shine His light." During the event, kids participate in a variety of activities, including games, songs, crafts, and Bible lessons. Through these activities, children learn about God's love, grace, and mercy, and how they can reflect His light in their everyday lives. We provide a safe and welcoming environment for kids to connect with each other and grow in their faith. By the end, children have a deeper understanding of God's character and the importance of shining His light in the world.

Please register below if you would like your child to receive a bible. More information will be sent once your child is registered. Then, plan to stay after the presentation and attend our Sunday Funday event happening immediately after the 11 am service. We hope to see you there!

All 5th graders are invited to partake in this 4 week experience during the study hour. 5th graders will partner with middle school ministry and learn about Jam, service, their gifts and talents, and all there is with connection to the middle school ministry as that is on the horizon for 5th graders. We hope your 5th grader will join us for all 4 weeks or when they can come to learn on their connection to their faith and community.

We would like to invite all 3rd and 4th graders to join us this January for our Intro to the Bible class. This class will introduce children and their parents to all the wonders that our Bible holds. Come learn about why the Bible was written, who wrote it, and why it is still important today. One or both parents should attend the class with their child.

You will have a blast seeing the amazing trunks, playing games for prizes, and eating hot dogs with your family and friends. Join us for a pool party! Get ready to be soaked as you play water games, ride the zip line, and splash around in the pool. Bring your swimsuit, towel and sun screen. Snacks and drinks provided. Parents can stay or drop their kids off. Trained lifeguards and WHPC staff will be present at all times. Register on Realm.
It’s time to give back to the community! We are partnering with Hungry Souls to pack lunches for kids in our very own city! Join us for a delicious lunch in the dining hall and then to our packing event where we will put together lunches for students in need. It’s the perfect way to meet other families and help those around us.

It’s time for our Easter Sunday Funday! Join us in the dining hall for lunch, and then outside for an easter egg hunt on our playgrounds. Kids will be organized by age to hunt for eggs with their peers. Bring your own basket if you wish, or a bag will be provided.
