Afghan Refugee Ministry Update from the Core Leadership Team
Westlake Hills Presbyterian Church continues to walk alongside our Afghan neighbors as they navigate life in a new country — building relationships, handling the practical hurdles of daily life, and growing in confidence and independence.
Watch our latest update below:
Since partnering with Afghan refugee families in Austin (originally 6–7 families, ~50+ individuals), this ministry has grown into a real community effort with over 100 volunteers from across WHPC and beyond, helping in meaningful ways.
How can you continue to be part of this?
We are grateful for the generosity and the hands-on involvement this ministry has sparked — from tutoring and translation to rides and everyday friendship. There’s still room to help.
Thank you for walking with us, for welcoming the stranger, and for letting love shape the way we serve together.
