Mission Spotlight: Young Lives
Walking alongside young parents with hope and community
Teen parents often find themselves navigating overwhelming challenges—finishing school, raising a child, and figuring out their future—all at once, and often without strong support.
Young Lives meets them right there.
A ministry of Young Life, Young Lives is built on relationships. Leaders show up in the lives of expectant and parenting teens—not with pressure or programs first, but with presence. Through mentorship, community, and practical support like childcare, young parents remember they are not alone.
More than that, they are invited into a story of hope.
Young Lives creates space for young moms and dads to grow—in faith, in confidence, and in their sense of purpose. They are seen not as problems to fix, but as people to love and empower. And when a young parent begins to experience stability and hope, it can change not just one life, but generations.
Our Connection at WHPC
Austin Young Live’s Director Caitlynn Lopez shares an update on the ministry at WHPC.
At Westlake Hills Presbyterian Church, we are grateful to partner with East Austin Young Lives—supporting their work both financially and through volunteers who show up, build relationships, and walk alongside these young families.
This partnership reflects who we are called to be: a community that shows up, listens well, and invests in the flourishing of others.
